A USZ helicopter has crashed in Khaki Jabbar district near the province of KABUL in Afghanistan. As a result, all 14 soldiers on board were instantly killed. The wreckage of the helicopter was lying untouched at the place of this incident till recent reports arrived. Taliban Mujahideen have claimed responsibility of this attack.
In another incident, a dozen USZ invading troops were killed as a result of a fierce surprise attack by Mujahideen in Mehtarlam city, the capital of Laghman province last night. Mujahideen resources say that this was one of the worst defeats that allies faced in this area since the start of this year. All Mujahideen managed to safely flee the battlefield after wrecking the enemy. In separate reports coming from Nad-e Ali district of Helmand province, 6 British soldiers of Royal Irish Regiment have been killed in a carefully orchestrated attack by the Mujahideen forces. No Mujahideen got hurt in this operation.
As a result, the allied death toll has hit 340 in 2011. Afghanistan is proving to be deadlier than ever for the allies in 2011, even deadlier than Vietnam. It should be kept in mind that at the end of December, Taliban issued an official statement that 2011 is going to be the year of victory for Taliban in the Graveyard of Empires.
