{EOP}Two C-130 Aircraft with Relief Goods Sent to Japan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday sent two C-130 aircraft to Tokyo loaded with 24 tons of relief supplies for the flood and tsunami affected people.
The aircraft left Chaklala Airport in the morning carrying relief items including 13.5 tons high power biscuits, 9 tons milk packs and 1.5 tons mineral water.
The consignment was seen off by Syed Hasan Javed, Additional Secretary and Japanese ambassador Chihiro Atsumi. Acting Chairman NDMA was also present at the occasion.
The Ambassador of Japan expressed thanks for provision of timely assistance.
A Foreign Office statement said that Pakistan stands ready to provide any assistance to help our Japanese friends in future as well.
