Pak security forces kill 9 Indian Backed TTP terrorists in NW

Pakistani security forces have killed at least nine militants in the country’s northwestern Bajaur tribal region.

Pakistani forces on Sunday pounded militant hideouts in Bajaur’s Batwar area, near Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan. At least eight others were also injured.

According to Pakistani officials, a notorious pro-Taliban commander was among those killed.

Earlier in the day, nine other militants were killed in South Waziristan’s tribal belt during clashes with security forces.

On Thursday, security forces killed 18 militants in the same region after raiding several hideouts belonging to pro-Taliban militants.

Despite the Pakistani government's operations against Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and associated groups, the militants have still been able to spread their influence across various regions.

Thousands of Pakistanis have lost their lives in bombings and other militant attacks since 2001, when Pakistan entered an alliance with the US in the so-called war on terrorism.

Thousands more have been displaced by the wave of violence and militancy sweeping across the country.
