63% Disapprove Of US Government: Gallup poll

US President Barack Obama
Over 60 percent of US citizens have a negative view of the US federal government, according to a recent public opinion poll.
The survey, which was conducted by Gallup Poll on Monday, showed that 63 percent disapprove of US President Barack Obama’s administrationan.
Only 17 percent of the respondents had a positive view of the US administration.
The poll asked people about their views on 25 business and industry sectors.
This is the first time the US federal government has finished in last place in the positive view category.

The US federal government also finished in second to last place in the negative view category, one point above the oil and gas industry, which received a negative rating of 64 percent.
The decline in US citizens’ view of the federal government began in 2004 as concerns rose over George W. Bush’s mismanagement of the Iraq war.
While Gallup noted a small increase in citizens’ view of the US government after Obama’s inauguration, the downward trend continued shortly afterwards.
Obama’s job disapproval rating has also reached an all-time high of 55 percent according to another poll conducted by Gallup.
Less than 38 percent of the respondents said that they approve of Obama’s performance as president.
